Andras was Zavac's first mate on Raven. He was often treated badly by Zavac, despite being the real skipper on board Raven.

History[]

Although little is known of Andras, it can be assumed that he had been on Zavac's crew for some time, as he was both Zavac's first mate as well as attuned to steering Raven.

The Invaders[]

After the storms finally cleared, Raven took to the sea, ready to prey on unwitting traders. Andras was shown to be quite irritated with Zavac, as the first mate had been on the till for six hours while Zavac slept. Even when Zavac woke up, he opted not to take the till and relieve Andras.[1]

However, they soon came across a trading ship, and with the help of The Viper, were able to take her down. They learned from the Gallican Captain that Limmat had a secret emerald mine, and decided to target the town.

Upon arriving in Limmat, they found the boom closed. However, they were able to trick the town into opening it for Viper.

Andras was next seen when the Herons and the crew of Wolfwind attack the pirates occupying Limmat. He was outraged when Zavac promised to send twenty men to the watchtowers.[2] However, Zavac revealed that this was a ruse; they were going to make their escape while Petrac and the leftover defenders provided a distraction. Seeing the wisdom in this, Andras tricked Rikard into staying as well.

On Zavac's orders, Andras killed the remaining men on The Stingray and burned the ship.[3]

The Hunters[]

He, along with several of the other crew members, couldn't wait to leave Raven; however, when Hal challenged Zavac in Raguza, Andras was killed by one of Lydia's darts quite early in the battle.

Relationships[]

Zavac[]

Andras resented Zavac and looked forward to the day when he’d saved enough money to buy his own ship. He also felt that Zavac’s disinterest in Raven made him a less-than-expert ship handler.[4]
